1/3 of the entire US Navy will be in the Mediterranean Sea to protect Israel against Iran

As tensions reach a boiling point in the Middle East, the United States has made a dramatic move, deploying significant naval firepower to the region. The USS Abraham Lincoln, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier capable of launching F-35C fighter jets, is cutting through the waves of the Eastern Mediterranean at an accelerated pace. Not far behind, its accompanying strike group – a formidable collection of destroyers, cruisers, and support ships – follows in formation. Meanwhile, lurking beneath the surface, the USS Georgia, an Ohio-class submarine armed with up to 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles, has silently taken up position.

This impressive show of force comes in the wake of a series of high-profile assassinations that have sent shockwaves through the region. On July 30, Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah commander, was killed in Beirut. Less than 24 hours later, Ismail Haniyeh, a top political leader of Hamas, met a similar fate in Tehran. While Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for these strikes, the timing and precision of the attacks have left little doubt in the minds of regional observers.

The question now hanging over the Middle East like a sword of Damocles is: How will Iran respond? As the primary backer of both Hezbollah and Hamas, Tehran finds itself…
